The young artist Hamad Al-Hajri is preparing to participate in his latest film, “The River”, written and directed by the Lebanese Ghassan Sahleb and starring Ali Suleiman and Yomna Marwan.
The events of “Al Nahr” revolve in a dramatic and suspenseful framework, as the work deals with the story of a man and a woman who are about to leave a restaurant located at the top of a Lebanese mountain, one autumn day, to be surprised by the sounds of warplanes flying at a low altitude, making them feel as if war is about to break out. once again.
As the events of the movie “The River” show, the woman is absent from the man’s sight, so the latter begins to search for her to find her on the other side of the mountain, and from here they sink together in the depth of nature, just as the thin thread that connects them to each other.
As events unfold, we find that the “river,” despite its clear waters, is unable to wash the wounds of a man and a woman, whether they were a couple, lovers, or crossers of a bed or two ends of a mountain. One after another, in addition to those passed down from generation to generation.
The movie “The River” includes a number of art stars in the Arab world, they are: Palestinian Ali Suleiman, Palestinian expatriate Yomna Marwan, Iraqi Ali Rashak, Aqil Fantasia, and produced by Lebanese Tania Khoury through the “Fifty Film” company in Beirut, while the “Umm” company is responsible for C” has the mission of distributing in the Arab world.
